GoMiWifi - Michigan's Premiere Wireless HotSpot Solution

FS4 USA, which provides wireless communications equipment to the military, began GoMiWiFi in April of 2007, in Midland, MI.

Several local groups joined forces in 2006 to form a Wireless Working Group which attempted to put their efforts toward countywide wireless to discuss the possibilities of county-wide wireless. A need was presented to have wireless throughout the downtown area.

Because of our history in working with secure wireless solutions, FS4 USA was invited by the Downtown Development Authority to join the effort. After involvement with this group FS4 USA decided to implement venue-based Wi-Fi in specific locations, mainly located in the downtown area and other high traffic locations.

GoMiWiFi partnered with Boingo, a company that provides global wireless roaming. Together GoMiWiFi and Boingo implemented this service to all GoMiWiFi venue-based locations, where Boingo customers roam for free.

FS4 USA is seeking corporate sponsors to help promote Mid-Michigan businesses. It is GoMiWiFi’s goal to broaden the current customer base for many businesses, thus increasing revenue for the Mid-Michigan areas.

GoMiWiFi believes the services being offered will greatly enhance the usability of mobile devices throughout Midland creating a “Wireless Connected Community”. Our focus on wireless technology and secure wireless solutions will make our network one of the most reliable and secure in the business.
